On March 26th and 27th, St Mary’s will be hosting one of Dorset’s biggest sporting festivals, The County Winter Games. Over 450 pupils from 50 schools will be attending the Games’ where sporting heroes, Aaron Phipps (GB Wheelchair rugby), Liz Johnson (Paralympic swimmer), Kate Grey (Olympic swimmer) and Thinus Delport (ex rugby union player) will support 55 of St Mary’s pupil leaders who will introduce, organise, lead and umpire the various different sports that are on offer over the two days.

Netball, hockey, swimming, orienteering, dance, sitting volleyball, kite building and indoor curling are amongst the sports on offer.

The Festival is organised by Active Sports Dorset, supported by the School Games Organisers who provide opportunities for sports participation at all levels across Dorset.

St Mary’s is proud and privileged to be hosting and associated with such a fantastic event for all young people across Dorset. Good luck to all who are participating, competing and leading at the Games.
