Sponsored Walk at Sturminster Newton

On a bright, frosty day Sunday, 21 girls, two staff, three parents and four willing dogs walked 10 miles of the Dorset Trailway from Sturminster Newton to Blandford. The weather was cold but glorious; the girls were in high spirits and made a record walking time of 2hours and 23 minutes. They took their House flags with them and kept eachother, within houses and across the houses, motivated.

They stopped for a packed lunch at Shillingston Station and snacks in Stourpaine where some of the girls still had energy for a quick game of football with Calvin!

The girls walked to raise money for their House Charities – Amakuru (a Rwandan Charity), Salisbury Hospital Stars Appeal and Lubasi Home (a children’s home in Zambia).
