On Wednesday 22nd November St Mary’s Shaftesbury was turned into a sea of red to mark Red Wednesday. The campaign, run by Aid to the Church in Need, focuses on the plight of Christians around the world who are persecuted for their beliefs. Red Wednesday aims to shine a light on Christian persecution but also highlight the injustices perpetrated against other faith groups.

The girls at St Mary’s stood in solidarity with others, raising funds to support ACN by wearing red clothes, decorating the school in red and enjoying a red-themed lunch as well as a cake sale at break time.
