Pest from the West

After much anticipation, the snow finally arrived at St Mary’s in abundance.  Whilst the school closed for day girls, it was very much open for boarders who enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities. Breakfast consisted of homemade warm doughnuts and delicious hot chocolate, thanks to Taher who stayed over night to ensure meals could be prepared as normal.

Younger pupils played in the snow and completed Snow Day work during the morning, while the older years studies in their rooms. Tennis coach, Ian Griffiths, kindly came in to run a normal schedule of tennis lessons before lunch.

During the afternoon, there was a choice of study, sports fun, films, an art activity, french oral practice and the production rehearsal.

Normal Friday evening activities will resume with movie night for Hewarth and Happy Hours.

Thanks must go to all resident, domestic, support and maintenance staff for looking after everyone so well.
