Alumna, Laura Martin-Prud’homme Talks to the Sixth Form about her work with L’Arche

One of our alumna, Laura Martin-Prud’homme, visited St Mary’s yesterday to talk to the sixth form about her work as Development Officer at L’Arche, a worldwide Christian organisation supporting people with learning disabilities. She spoke about her journey from studying a degree in Languages to working in the City in finance, which finally led her to the charity sector. Her role at L’Arche, which was set up by Jean Vanier in 1964, is to raise awareness of the federation.

If you are a St Mary’s alumna and would be willing to come and speak to our sixth form pupils in General RE, please do get in touch with us (
